The shelf seemed strong enough, but along with the scratches we saw even under the plastic wrapping, it was also very skinny-looking up against the wall. It looks more like a thin sheet of stainless with a backsplash. I was looking for something more substantial. It was packaged well, so the scratches happened before shipping and the shelf was still sent out. It's tiring to constantly have to do the quality control for these companies. A delay and wasted of time too.
