Like other customers of this watch opener, I have advanced from buying watches and just switching out bands, to actually modifying the watch to my liking. This includes dials, hands, bezels, chapter rings, bezel rings, and crystals. Most of these modifications require you to get into the watch. After scratching up the back of some prized watches, I had it, and decided to go ahead and invest in a professional watch opener, instead of fumbling with those hand-held openers. They do the job, but I was no longer willing to take the risk of scratching up a case back (not very professional) - especially if a friend trusts me to work on their watch. Mine did not come with instructions, so YouTube it is. The item page in Amazon has the best info for now. I use the 2 lug holders (dies) instead of the 4 case holders (see pic), as these seem to center the watch case under the vice better (since the accessory watch holder for odd-shaped watches did not center it properly). Sufficient lighting is needed so you can see the vice chucks fit into the case back grooves snugly. It does have some heft to it, comes with plenty of accessories, and feels like a quality item. The tiny hex wrench supplied does not fit the set screws for the chucks, but they did not fall out.
