Great ring, very strong, heavy duty (did not measure thickness), arrived undamaged (luckily) and round after assembly within 1/2” all around, pretty good for a 4 piece assembly unit. I flipped the included bolts around so the head is what’s shown on the inside of the ring - much better than looking at a bunch of threaded ends.Drilled some holes up top for a smokeless design, works fairly well with spacing between the stones on the first layer and a grate, ~80% less smoke overall in general. Wish these came pre-drilled, it’s thick metal so it was tough to drill through, painted the bare metal hole edges with high heat paint and done.Note many comment about rusting…so it’s mild steel. It’s gona rust no matter what. It’s not a big deal and something this thick should last a few years. What you need to do is once a year in the off-season (summer), take it out, lightly sand it (wear dust mask), and re-paint it with high heat paint (look for it in the auto section, made for engines). That’s it. Man up and learn how to maintain your fire pit.
